Accessible Alternatives: Ethnic Communities’ Contribution to Social Development and Environmental Conservation in Burma

The report exposes the harsh impacts that are inflicted on the environment and the livelihoods of ethnic people under the current development policies of Burma’s military regime.  Though several case studies, the Burma Environmental Working Group argues that alternative resource management systems are successful and should be employed more widely.
