Weekly Political Events Regarding the SPDC’s Election (028/2010)

The Network for Democracy and Development (NDD), a Burmese political organization based on the Thai-Burma border, is researching and distributing weekly reports summarizing political events in Burma regarding the SPDC’s Elections. These reports include information on the activities of the SPDC and USDA, opposition groups, armed ethnic groups, cease-fire groups, border guard forces, international governments and non-governmental organizations, and civilians inside Burma.
In this week’s report , you will find:
- USDP party members and residents stated that USDP organizers in Yenanchaung Township, Magwe Division, were provided with funds to run a money lending business as a means to recruit more members.
- Capt. Padoh Saw Hte Nay from the 6th Brigade of KNU stated that some DKBA soldiers from battalions of the 5th Brigade of DKBA under the command of the brigadier Col. Saw La Pwe (aka) Maj. Moustache, joined battallion 18 under the 6th Brigade of KNU. The 5th Brigade, led by Col. Saw La Pwe, has been refusing to transform itself into a border guard force, which created tension between the military regime and the 5th Brigade of DKBA
- An official of the Kachin State Progressive Party (KSPP) stated that KSPP hopes to get permission from the Union Election Commission at the end of August to contest in the elections

ထိုင္း-ျမန္မာ နယ္စပ္အေျခ စိုက္ႏုိင္ငံေရးအဖြဲ႔အစည္းတခုျဖစ္ေသာ Network for Democracy and Development (NDD) သတင္းႏွင္႔သုေတသနဌာနမွ နအဖ၏ လာမည့္ေရြးေကာက္ပဲြႏွင့္ စပ္လ်ဉ္း၍ ျမန္မာႏိုင္ငံ၏ ႏိုင္ငံေရးအေျခေန အျဖစ္အျပက္္မ်ားကုိ အပတ္စဥ္ ရွာေဖြ စုစည္း ျဖန္႔ေဝလွ်က္ ရွိပါသည္။ ထိုအပတ္စဥ္ မွတ္တမ္းတြင္ နအဖႏွင့္ ၾကံ့ဖြ႔ံ တို႔၏ လႈပ္ရွားမႈ သတင္းအခ်က္အလက္မ်ား အပါအဝင္ ေတာ္လွန္ေရး အဖြဲ႔မ်ား၊ တုိင္းရင္းသားလက္နက္ကုိင္အဖဲြ႔မ်ား၊ လက္နက္ႏွင္႔ ျငိမ္းခ်မ္းေရး လဲလွယ္ထားေသာ အဖဲြ႔မ်ား၊ ႏိုင္ငံတကာ အစိုးရ ႏွင္႔ အစိုးရမဟုတ္ေသာ အဖဲြ႔အစည္းမ်ား၊ ျပန္တြင္းျပည္ပမွ ျပည္သူလူထုတုိ႔၏ လႈပ္ရွားမႈ မ်ားႏွင္႔ သတင္းအခ်က္အလက္မ်ားကိုလည္း ျပည္႔စုံစြာ စုစည္းတင္ၿပထားပါသည္။
ယခုအပတ္ NDD ၏သတင္းမွတ္တမ္းတြင္ –
- ေရနံေခ်ာင္းျမိဳ႕တြင္ ျပည္ေထာင္စုၾက႔ံခုိင္ေရးႏွင္႔ဖြံ႕ျဖိဳးေရးပါတီ USDP ကပါတီစည္းရုံးေရး လုပ္ငန္းတစ္ခုအေနျဖင္႔ စည္းရုံးေရးမႈးမ်ားအား ေငြေခ်းလုပ္ငန္းလုပ္ကိုင္ရန္ အရင္းအႏွီးထုတ္ေပးေနသည္ဟု ပါတီဝန္မ်ားႏွင္႔ေဒသခံမ်ားက ေျပာသည္။
- ျပည္သူ႔လႊတ္ေတာ္ ေကာ္မတီ CRPP က စစ္အစုိးရက်င္းပမည္႔ ေရြးေကာက္ပြဲႏွင္႔ ႏုိင္ငံေရးအေျခအေနမ်ားကို ျပည္သူလူထုအားပညာေပးရန္အတြက္ ၾသဂုတ္လ ၆ ရက္ေန႔က အမ်ိဳးသားဒီမိုကေရစီအဖြဲ႔ခ်ဴပ္ NLD ဒု-ဥကၠ႒ ဦးတင္ဦး ေနအိမ္တြင္ တိုင္ပင္ေဆြးေႏြးခဲ႔ၾကသည္။
စသည္သတင္းအခ်က္အလက္မ်ားအပါအဝင္ အျခားသတင္းအခ်က္အလက္မ်ားကိုလည္း စုံလင္စြာဖတ္ရႈႏုိင္ပါသည္။
