Movement Against Article 18

On 27 December, the Movement for Democracy Current Forces (MDCF) led a protest calling for abolishment of Article 18 of the Peaceful Assembly and Peaceful Procession Law and Article 505(b) of the Penal Code. Rather than granting freedom of expression, assembly and association, these laws are being used to intimidate, silence and arrest human rights defenders and activists in Burma.

Twenty people walked from Theingyi market across Town Hall and Mingalar Market to Yuzana plaza. They distributed pamphlets about these restrictive laws along the way. See more photos here.

ယေန႕ 2 နာရီခန္႕မွစ၍ ကုန္ေစ်းႏႈန္းက်ဆင္းေရးအဖြဲ႕ (M.D.C.F) မွ

၄င္းတို႕ကိုယ္ေပၚတြင္လည္း ပုဒ္မ 18 ႏွင့္ 505 (ခ) တို႕အားဖ်က္သိမ္းေပးေရး
စတစ္ကာမ်ားျဖင့္ လမ္းေလွ်ာက္ ဆႏၵျပခဲ့ၾကပါသည္။ သိမ္ေတာ္ၾကီးမွ
ျမိဳ႕ေတာ္ခန္းမေရွ႕ ထိုမွတဆင့္ မဂၤလာေစ်းႏွင့္ ယုဇန ပလာဇာ တို႕တြင္
စာရြက္မ်ားလိုက္လံေ၀ငွခဲ့ၾကပါသည္။
