Zakir Hussain College (Delhi University) is organizing Conference on “Democratization in Burma” on 3rd and 4th March 2011 in collaboration with Burma Centre Delhi, Institute of Social Sciences, Delhi University, An Emblem Symbolizing the Future and ICSSY.

With the objective of understanding the internal crisis and contradictions in the regime and continuation of impasse in Burma, the College has decided to discuss and deliberate upon this significant issue of international concern. Progress and prospects for democratisation and the regional and international responses to the regime transition would be the main focus of discussion. The attempt would be to develop a forum for the academicians, policy makers, researchers, journalists and students to provide them with an opportunity for presenting and evaluating the results of the November Elections being held after a gap of 20 years and the future roadmap of democracy in Burma.

We cordially invite you to participate and cover the events to publish in your esteem newspaper/newsletter/magazine etc and make the conference a success.
